The animation on the left, designed in Adobe Flash, is based on a mathematical perspective algorithm. There are many different ways to program perspective. One method uses matrixes. The method used here is geometrically grounded. In the animation, squares are first created that vanish to a common central vanishing point on the horizon line. The cube wire frame that appears after the animated perspective grid has been drawn, also vanishes to the central vanishing point. The prespective of the box is automatically calculated and drawn as the box moves across and back over the grid.
